Speed Trial Windsurfers

There will be a speed trial challenge. The challenge can only be run when the council put out their lane markings. Its approximately 2 1/4 miles

The course will be

Start line between the groyne to the west of the slipway with the large pipe and the distance mark. Sail to the Lavender mark keeping to the south of the all council lane markings. Gybe or tack the Lavender mark, return to the finish line which is between the distance mark and the same groyne.  

The rules will be: -

  1. Open only to B.R.Y.C windsurfers
  2. Open only to paid up B.R.Y.C members
  3. No handicaps apply
  4. To be witnessed by a club member who will sign a statement of confirmation
  5. Only one windsurfer can make the challenge at any one time
  6. Safety lane must be observed
  7. Time starts when the challenger crosses the line
  8. Time stops when the challenger crosses the line

We will keep a running notice in the clubhouse showing the fastest to date

Admin Notes

    1. It would be nice if the timekeepers keep note of the weather condition, wind speed and direction, and the board sailed and size of rig.
