Where is the clubBognor Regis Yacht Club is located on the South coast between Brighton and Portsmouth. To find the club, drive to the junction of the A259 and A29 which is a Squareabout ( its really a roundabout but you will realise why its called that when you go round it). Exit into Victoria Road follow that road straight over junctions etc, until you reach the traffic lights. Turn left then 1st right . And there we are just before you go into the sea. Failing that, find the pier at Bognor Regis face the sea and turn right we are a short walk along the prom. ( We are on the right ) For a map of the area try www.upmystreet.co.uk You will need our postcode of PO21 2NA To see a map click Here ( file size 205KB) MembershipThere is a yearly membership. After much debate over many years we decided against having just a Social Membership. See fees What are the facilitiesWe have a large, centrally heated
clubhouse in an excellent location next to the beach. We have a boat park,
storage for windsurfing equipment and excellent rescue boat cover. Wash down
facilities for craft.
What's happeningTake a look at the pages Most of the stuff that goes on most of the time is under the relevant topic. Try looking at the Contents page which may help you navigate. If I join what do I have to doThere is only one thing you have to do other than joining. That is to enjoy yourself in the friendly competitive atmosphere be it in the bar - on the golf course or actually on the water. The rescue boat and O.O.D duties covering the cat's and dinghy's are normally carried out by those who normally race. But they are always after volunteers so they can have more boats racing. ( Don't be shy - if you are qualified fine if not we can teach you). What about windsurfingWe have a complete cross section of windsurfers ranging from the absolute beginner to those who sail in force 7. We run a gold and silver fleet racing at weekends which is mainly on long boards depending on conditions. Everyone is given the chance to decide on courses etc. With the silver fleet, anyone that can negotiate a course in a reasonable time stands to win at prize giving. Other than the racing, there is a strong support for the fun board sailors that mysteriously turn up when its windy. We have excellent rigging - changing rooms wash down areas E-MailsThe web site is new and we are gradually resolving minor hiccups. Its all on a voluntary status so may only be looked at once a week or so. If its urgent be brave, be old fashioned, take a trip down memory lane and give us a bell that's dial our telephone number - that's when you pick up a mobile or a telephone type thing and dial 01243- 865735 and actually spend a bit of time conversing with someone, ( not sure if the answer-phone has broken again.). If you ring when we are open - that's most evenings except Monday and all day Saturday and Sunday. What about foodWe have a resident chef in the
Galley who can provide for most tastes over the weekends and at respectable
prices. Opening times vary over the winter and summer Also she makes a special effort for special occasions - see the Social page What about a drink The bar opens Tuesday to Sunday
